Man City player ratings as Jack Grealish unlucky vs Manchester United

by duceditor

Jack Grealish made a star turn against Man Utd from off the bench but Manchester City lost again

Ederson: A rush of blood to the head when he charged out of his goal in the first half, yet smothered well from Rashford soon after. 6

Walker: City’s best defender for much of the game, but then left his station vacant when Garnacho came on to change the game. 6

Akanji: Improved as the game went on, calm under pressure whether his head or feet were required. 7

Ake: Another solid showing, albeit with most of the game unfolding on the other side. 6

Cancelo: More like the real Cancelo pushing forward and getting into the box. 6

Rodri: Much more space in the second half and took advantage of it. 7

Bernardo: Gave away a few loose balls and struggled to make the right decisions in the final third. 5

De Bruyne: Wayward in the first half before making up for it with some magic for the Grealish goal. 6

Mahrez: Not a matchwinning turn like he has produced recently but worked well with De Bruyne. 6

Foden: Offside a number of times and starved of the ball in a stodgy first half. 5

Haaland: Had few opportunities when he dropped deeper and didn’t get any more chances even when he pushed forward. 5
